Provides and ensures an ongoing and efficient pharmacy department under the direct supervision of pharmacists, by assisting in the processing of medications to all patients and appropriate patient care areas. Assists in the maintenance of a neat and clean dispensing area and performing functions as necessary in the daily routine of the pharmacy department. Assists pharmacists, as directed, in compounding, preparing, labeling or dispensing of drugs used to fill medication orders. #IND1

Education/Experience

• Minimum Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 12 months of prior pharmacy experience OR completion of a pharmacy training program
• Preferred:
  • Not Applicable

License/Certification

• Minimum Required:
  • Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Board (PTCB)
  • NYS Pharmacy Technician Licensure and Registration
• Preferred:
