Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Lansing, MI
Location: Lansing, MI
Facility: McLaren Greater Lansing
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: August 24, 2026
Work Setting
Acute Care Hospital
Nuclear Medicine Department
240-bed tertiary teaching facility
Cerner EMR
Schedule
Shift: Days
Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
40-hour guarantee
Weekend rotation every 5th–6th weekend
No call
Job Summary
Responsible for performing diagnostic Nuclear Medicine procedures while producing high-quality imaging in accordance with department protocols. This role includes patient care, radiopharmaceutical preparation and administration, equipment quality assurance, radiation safety, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic Nuclear Medicine imaging studies.
Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes as ordered.
Obtain patient history and educate patients on procedures.
Operate and maintain Nuclear Medicine imaging equipment.
Complete quality assurance testing and radiation safety protocols.
Maintain department documentation, logs, and records.
Perform routine equipment maintenance and function checks.
Assist other Radiology departments as needed.
Required Qualifications
Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist through ARRT (N) or NMTCB
Current BLS Certification
Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience
Experience performing diagnostic Nuclear Medicine procedures
Preferred Qualifications
Recent acute care hospital experience
Experience with Cerner EMR
Strong knowledge of radiation safety and quality assurance standards
