Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Petoskey, MI

Location: Petoskey, MI
Facility: McLaren Northern Michigan
Contract: 13 Weeks
Start Date: September 28, 2026

Work Setting
Acute Care Hospital
Respiratory Therapy Department
Collaborative multidisciplinary care team
Schedule
Night Shift
12-hour shifts
36 hours per week
Every other weekend
No call
Job Summary

Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients across the acute care setting. Assess, treat, and monitor patients requiring respiratory support while collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
Assess and treat patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions
Administer respiratory medications and breathing treatments
Manage oxygen therapy and respiratory support equipment
Monitor patient response and adjust treatments as appropriate
Perform respiratory assessments and maintain accurate documentation
Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and other healthcare professionals
Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and disease management
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of Registered Respiratory Therapist experience
Active Michigan Respiratory Therapist License
Current AHA BLS Certification
Current AHA ACLS Certification
Current NRP Certification
Preferred Qualifications
Previous travel experience
Acute care hospital experience
Strong critical care and emergency respiratory care skills
