3 OR Rooms + 1 Procedure Room
Inpatient & Outpatient Surgery
Adult & Pediatric Surgical Patients
1:1 Ratio
CPSI EMR
Schedule
Day Shift
7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
8-hour shifts
Will float between McLaren Thumb Region and McLaren Caro
On-call required — potentially up to 10 shifts per month
Weekend call required
30-minute response time required while on call
Job Summary

Work as an essential member of the surgical team, preparing operating rooms, equipment, instruments, and patients for surgical procedures. Assist surgeons throughout procedures while maintaining the sterile field and supporting safe, efficient patient care.

Responsibilities
Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures
Set up and maintain sterile instruments and supplies
Assist surgeons and the surgical team throughout procedures
Maintain sterile technique and infection-control standards
Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures
Assist with patient and room preparation
Perform instrument, sponge, and sharps counts
Participate in emergency and on-call surgical coverage
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of CST experience
Active NBSTSA certification
Current BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
Orthopedic experience
OB/GYN experience
General Surgery experience
Experience working across multiple surgical specialties
