Description

Conducts patient assessment and interprets patient information and
recommends appropriate therapeutic plan of care. Utilizes evidence-based practice and critical
thinking skills. Monitors patient's physiological responses to therapy, such as vital signs, arterial
blood gases, and blood chemistry changes, and consult with physician if adverse reactions occur.
Read prescriptions, measure arterial blood gases, and review patient information to assess patient
condition. Develops and/or changes plans of care based on the assessment/reassessment process
and/or changes in patient status. Sets up and operates devices such as mechanical ventilators,
therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators,
following specified parameters of treatment. Performs intubation and extubation.

Minimum Qualifications: Must have 2 years experience in a hospital setting & NYS License, BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS. Must know EPIC EMR.

AMHS Staffing Alliance Job ID #1018. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
