Description

Location: Intensive Care Unit, Level III Trauma Center

Unit Description: This 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU caters to a wide range of adult patients with diagnoses such as substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock. Attendings and residents are present 24/7.

Experience Required: - Minimum of 2 years of adult ICU experience. - Must have continuous work experience of 2+ years in one location, preferably a MICU. - Must be able to read telemetry strips.

Floating Requirements: - Floating primarily to Medical/Surgical Units, managing up to 4 or 5 patients.

Patient Ratio: - 1:2 or 1:1 with high acuity patients in ICU - 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to other Medical/Surgical areas

Bed Count: 20 beds

Electronic Medical Records (EMR): EPIC

Certifications Required: - Active Massachusetts RN License - BLS - ACLS
