Unit Details:
4 South is a 34-bed Medical Oncology/GYN Surgical unit with a 2-chair outpatient infusion room. The unit manages a variety of medical and surgical patients, including numerous cancers, complicated GYN surgeries, and med-surg overflow. Staff are expected to be proficient in managing central lines, various drains, dressing changes, Tenhoff, and pleur-X catheters, as well as providing frequent transfusions of blood products.
Position Details:
- Beds: 34 inpatient beds with 2 chairs for outpatient infusions, typically handling 6 outpatient infusions daily.
- Required Certifications: Active and clear RN License, BLS
- Required Experience: 1+ years of Med-Surg acute care experience and travel experience.
- Preferred Experience: Experience in oncology and chemotherapy is preferred.
- Charting System: EPIC
- Dress Code: Any color scrubs
