This assignment is in a very small unit where reliability and dependability are essential, as call-outs will significantly impact the unit's operation.

Key Requirements: - Patient Ratio: 1:3 - Beds: 3 - A small community hospital with no second nurse scheduled - Backup support available from Family Birthplace staff, respiratory, and IV therapists - Pediatric nurses should have an understanding of the unique needs of children and adolescents - Family involvement is encouraged with "rooming in" options for parents - Amenities include in-room games, videos, and a playroom for those without contagious illnesses

Scheduling: - Requests for time off must be noted and verified at the time of submission; requests after this will not be approved - Limited RTO will be approved, with a maximum of 3 days, including one holiday - Block scheduling is not considered

Experience and Skills: - 3 years of current pediatric experience [required] - Adult medical-surgical experience [preferred for potential floating duties] - Familiarity with Meditech Expanse is strongly preferred - BSN is preferred - Must have their own vehicle for this assignment

Profile Submission: - Include work history and completed skills checklists for pediatric and medical-surgical areas - Current Massachusetts RN license must be included in the profile - Active certifications required: American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS
