Position Overview

This role involves working as a Respiratory Therapist in a healthcare facility with a total of 341 beds. The candidate will operate in a trauma level 2 environment, serving a patient population ranging from neonates to adults. The facility uses the EPIC documentation system and the Pyxis medication system.

Experience and Certification Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years of Respiratory Therapist experience.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) experience or exposure to neonatal/pediatric population required.
• EPIC experience within the past two years is mandatory.
• Current New York license required at the time of submission.
• Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).

Responsibilities and Skills

• Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, including the ability to work every other weekend.
• Must be able to provide support in various departments such as the nursery and emergency room as needed.
• Must adhere to the facility's dress code, which includes wearing black or ceil blue scrubs and minimal jewelry.

Equipment and Support

• Familiarity with ventilators such as Puritan Bennett 980 & 840, and LTV1200 is required.
• Respiratory support is available 24/7.

Additional Information

• Bi-weekly orientations occur on Mondays.
• Reliable personal or rental transportation is strongly recommended due to the lack of public transportation accessibility.
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires between November and April due to weather conditions.

• Holiday work is required as per the facility’s needs.
