Role Overview:

This role is seeking a Surgical Technician for the Main Operating Room. The OR handles a diverse range of patients, covering specialties such as orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma (level 1 trauma center). The facility features two Davinci robots utilized by multiple services, and the transplant program involves liver, kidney, and heart transplants.

Requirements:

• NBSTSA Certification or 10 years of experience as a Surgical Technician
• Minimum two years of experience
• Preferred: Operating room experience in a level 1 trauma center
• Ability to perform scrub duties

Certifications:

• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)

Skills:

• NBSTSA Tech License (NY License ONLY) or 10 years of experience
• BLS Certification
• Minimum two years of experience
• Highly desired: Experience in a level 1 trauma center operating room
• Competency in scrubbing procedures

Please note that the ability to rotate shifts is required for this position, and flexibility in accommodating a 48-hour workweek is available.
