The Observation unit provides care for adult patients requiring further assessment to determine whether hospital admission is necessary or if they can be treated and discharged safely. This is a fast-paced environment, handling 20 to 27 patients daily, with an average stay of 27 hours. The unit operates with round-the-clock provider coverage and manages a diverse adult population, including those under emergency observation and those with admission status, ranging from short stays to full admissions.

Requirements:

• Two years of Med/Surg experience
• Telemetry experience

Certifications:

• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• NIHSS (Preferred)
• ACLS (AHA ONLY)
