Position Overview

Responsibilities include working in the Cath Lab with responsibilities related to diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations for adult patients. Key tasks include monitoring procedural sedation, managing dysrhythmias, and conducting both left and right heart catheterizations. The role requires highly developed skills in pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent experience within the past year.
  • Skills:
  • Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab
  • Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab
  • Diagnostic Catheterizations on Adults
  • Procedural Sedation Administration and Monitoring
  • Interpretation and Management of Dysrhythmias

Licensure and Certifications

  • License: Must have or apply for NY State License.
  • Certifications:
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Policies

  • Floating: Required as per facility's needs.
  • Call-Off Policy: 3 shifts per 13-week assignment.
  • RTO: All requests must be submitted initially. Any requests after offer acceptance will not be approved.

Old community hospital, doctors are really out of touch, small hospital problems. Lots of drama. Same as every other small hospital.
