Requirements:

• Education: Nursing degree required; diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred).
• Experience: Over 5 years of Staff Nurse experience, including Charge Nurse responsibilities. Leadership experience required. Must demonstrate clinical knowledge and skills necessary to oversee care for patients from infancy to geriatrics.
• Certification/Licensure: MA RN license, BLS, ACLS, ICU experience, Bed Flow Experience, and Transfer line required.

Position Summary:

The Nursing Supervisor is a professional nurse responsible for coordination and supervision of patient care across multiple nursing units and departments.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a role model, providing clinical direction to staff. Demonstrate expertise in the nursing process and evaluate care provided by nursing personnel.
• Ensure high-quality, cost-efficient patient care by making appropriate staffing decisions.
• Demonstrate responsibility for human resource management within the Nursing Division to achieve high-quality patient care and promote harmonious employee relations.
• Act as the on-site hospital representative accountable for coordinating the operational and administrative activities required for smooth hospital functioning.
• Plan and direct Nursing Division activities to comply with established policies and procedures and achieve divisional goals and objectives.
• Establish and maintain interdisciplinary communication and cooperation. Promote a positive image of the Nursing Division through effective interaction with patients, visitors, physicians, and the public.
• Demonstrate commitment to personal career growth and development.

Qualifications:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
