Description:

A Respiratory Therapist is responsible for monitoring and treating patients with temporary or chronic respiratory conditions such as asthma, COPD, pneumonia, bronchitis, or emphysema. Responsibilities include interviewing patients, completing diagnostic tests to determine respiratory conditions, and developing patient treatment plans in collaboration with Physicians and other healthcare team members. The therapist administers respiratory treatments to patients based on their conditions.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (Certified Respiratory Therapists do not qualify for this role)
• Must have an unencumbered NY RRT License
• Comfortable and willing to work various shifts and weekends as needed

Skills and Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy
• A minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist within the state of New York (NY RRT ONLY)
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification (BLS through AHA)
