MRI Technologist Position

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans, explaining procedures to help them feel comfortable.
• Insert IVs when necessary for tests.
• Document all procedures while maintaining the confidentiality of patient information.
• Perform additional patient care tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Two years of experience as an MRI technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficient in operating a GE scanner.
• Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Injection certification.
• New York State Radiologic Technologist license or willingness to obtain it upon starting the position.

Required Skills:

• Certification through the ARRT or a similar organization is highly desired.
• Two years of relevant experience.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Possession of a New York State license.
• Injection certification.
