Position / Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry (MedSurg/Tele)

Unit Ratios: - Day/Evening: 5 to 1 (may stretch to 6-7) - Night: Expected 6-7 to 1 (may stretch to 8-10 if staffing issues)

Support Staff: - Patient Care Technicians available on all units for vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and other activities of daily living.

Experience Requirements: - Minimum of 1 year

Certification Requirements: - Basic Life Support (BLS)

Weekend Requirements: - Every Other Weekend (EOW)

Floating Requirements: - May need to float within the scope of practice to meet facility needs and may float between similar units.

Local Applicant Policy: - No local applicants within a 75-mile radius

Request for Time Off (RTO) Restrictions: - Limited to a maximum of 1 week of RTO within a contract

Special Requirements: - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Use of Rapid Response Teams - Peripheral line care and management - Use of nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks - Non-invasive airway management - Adherence to isolation precautions

Patient Diagnoses: - Acute respiratory failure - Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) - Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) exacerbation - Pneumonia - Sepsis

Special Equipment: - BiPAP, CPAP - High flow oxygen - Ventilators - Tracheostomy care - Chest tubes

Preferred Experience with Software: - Epic charting system

Scrub Color: - Any combination of navy and white
