This position involves performing administrative duties and requires a nursing background. The role is not patient-facing and involves reviewing onboarding documents to ensure compliance.
Schedule: - Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM - 24-40 hours per week
Responsibilities:
Program Management: - Engage in preventive health education and wellness promotion - Conduct employee health assessments and provide treatment per policy - Maintain and manage employee health records
Leave & Case Management: - Manage Workers’ Compensation claims - Administer New York State Disability benefits - Handle FMLA/PFL case management, tracking, and renewals - Communicate employee status and return-to-work updates
Programs & Compliance: - Coordinate the return-to-work program (light duty coordination) - Manage new hire fit-for-duty process (physicals, drug testing, immunizations) - Conduct annual health screenings (PPD, FIT testing) - Oversee employee health orientation and onboarding - Participate in Workers’ Comp and safety meetings - Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Systems / Documentation: - Maintain policies, procedures, and health records - Use computer systems for reporting and case tracking
Certifications Required: - Active BLS (preferred, confirm if required)
Required Skills:
Clinical: - Experience in employee health assessment and triage - Acute care experience
Administrative / Case Management: - Knowledge in Workers’ Compensation - Experience with FMLA/Disability case management - Skills in return-to-work coordination
Technical: - Proficiency in electronic health records and reporting systems - Basic computer skills
Professional Skills: - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Excellent organization and documentation accuracy - Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently - Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance
