Description

Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele)

Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required

Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience

Charting System: Epic experience is required

Floating: Required

Patient Ratio: Ability to manage a 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio for MedSurg

Skills and Requirements:

Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response: Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response and Code teams
IV Therapy/Phlebotomy: Peripheral line care and management
Respiratory Support: Experience with nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks, and non-invasive airway management
Professional Practice: Adherence to isolation precautions

Additional Requirements:

Must have a New York license in hand
Travel assignments must be based more than 75 miles from the facility
First-time travelers are accepted
