SHIFT TIMES: 09:00:00 AM - 05:00:00 PM Mon - Fri - or (4) 10-hour shifts during the week

WORK SITE: 300 Community Drive, Manhasset, NY 11040

Strong and experienced OR Nurse Manager for Cardiac Surgery & Transplant Team

Must have organ transplant experience - specifically lung & heart.

High acuity cases

Acts as a resource for experienced team

Grows and develops team members

Engages in team building

Manages and has 24/7 responsibility for the nursing practice, patient care delivery, human and fiscal resources, and regulatory compliance of a patient care unit.

Maintains a professional environment that supports delivery of high-quality patient and family centered care.

Manages and leads team members, operations and patient care activities within a patient care unit during assigned shift.

Other related duties as required.

Required:

Bachelors of Science Degree, required. Masters, preferred. (Bachelors or Master’s Degree must be in Nursing)

Current NY State RN license

Minimum of 6-8 years of nursing experience

Minimum of 5 years of Operating Room experience, scrub and circulate

Minimum of 3 years of cardiac surgery and heart and lung transplant experience- significant skills consistently performed

Minimum of 2-5 years solid and consistent leadership/management experience

Preferred:

CNOR 

Experience working in a quarternary care facility

Masters degree
