Description

Purpose of Position

Under the general direction of the Manager of Rehabilitation, Sleep, and EEG Services, coordinates the function of the Sleep Lab.

Responsibilities

Practices in accordance with mandatory requirements.
Adheres to department expectations.
Employs a customer service approach to all activities.
Appropriately utilizes internal and external resources.
Effectively manages time utilizing appropriate techniques.
Sets up, adjusts, and operates medical equipment and instruments.
Conducts testing as ordered by the patient's physician.
Addresses age-specific needs of infants, toddlers, school-age children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.
Performs therapeutic procedures with an emphasis on individualized care.
Assists physicians in the Sleep Lab.
Maintains equipment and orders necessary supplies.
Undertakes administrative and other tasks as required.
Provides consistent service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers, reflecting a commitment to compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and service.

Qualifications

Board Registered Polysomnographic Technologist
Current CPR certification
