We are seeking a proficient multi-modality Radiologic Technologist with CT experience. ARRT CT certification is preferred, and mammography experience is also a plus. Candidates should be adept at obtaining and processing quality images, completing required documentation, preparing patients professionally, and ensuring safe care based on the age-specific needs of each patient. Effective interaction with radiologists and the diagnostic imaging team is essential, and adherence to protocols and procedures is required.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, compassionate, empathetic, and congenial. Comfort with working independently and possessing exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills are important. Adaptability to an inconsistent workload is crucial.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greet patients, explain procedures, answer questions, and assist them to changing rooms as needed.
• Coordinate with nursing staff for ED/med-surg patient transfers, ensuring all monitoring equipment is disconnected and necessary documents are in order.
• Prepare exam rooms, ensuring equipment is clean and functioning, and supplies are ready for use.
• Prepare patients for exams, ensuring artifacts are removed before imaging.
• Utilize ALARA principles and perform routine and specialty diagnostic radiology exams, shielding patients when possible.
• Produce diagnostic images with accurate positioning and optimize image quality.
• Close out exams and send images for interpretation.
• Monitor and stock radiology supplies, check for expired items, and perform necessary quality checks with documentation.
• Perform basic office duties, including phone answering, scheduling exams, and ensuring prior authorizations are obtained when necessary.
• Perform record keeping for sending images and scanning documents into PACS and EMR.
• Be reachable during on-call hours and within 30 minutes of the hospital when on call.

The Radiology Department provides a supportive and positive work environment. Although work is mostly independent, the team is cooperative and ready to assist whenever necessary. Our advanced diagnostic imaging equipment ensures the best images with minimal risk. All images are interpreted by a board-certified, subspecialty-trained radiologist.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited program for Radiologic Technology.
• Possess ARRT (R) and (CT) or (M).
• New Hampshire Imaging License.
• Valid BLS Certification.
• Multi-modality experience is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.
• Experience with Athena and Cerner is preferred.
• Proximity within 30 minutes of the hospital for on-call duties is preferred but not required.
