Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Step Down/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care for patients who require closer monitoring and more frequent assessments than those in a general medical-surgical unit.

Responsibilities

Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing changes in patient status and responding appropriately.
Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Utilize specialized equipment in support of patients' care.
Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
Ensure a high standard of care through continuous assessment and evaluation of patient needs.

Qualifications

Proficient in specialized care, with relevant experience in a Step Down/PCU setting.
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
Ability to navigate and utilize healthcare technology and equipment.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work autonomously and part of a team.

Requirements

Active nursing license in good standing.
BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
Previous experience in telemetry or critical care is highly desirable.

Staff is Very friendly and helpful. They provide scrubs. Easy work.

Cons

Difficulty finding a place to stay around here. They won't schedule you in blocks and you have to find someone to switch. NOTHING to do around town- everything closes at 5.
