Description
Join a busy inpatient echocardiography lab at a tertiary care hospital with a Level I trauma center covering essential weekend and midweek shifts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Rotating days
- Overnight Call: 5:30 PM to 6:30 AM, 2-3 nights per month, with guidelines and cardiologist approval needed to be called in
- Shift: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
- Total: 40 hours per week
- Daily Workload: 7-8 echocardiograms per day
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of echocardiography experience with at least 2+ years of acute inpatient echo experience in a Level I trauma facility
- Skills:
- Proficiency in a wide range of high-quality echo procedures, including transthoracic echocardiograms (TTEs), stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), with 3D echo and strain imaging
- In-depth knowledge of complex cardiac anatomy and pathology
- Strict adherence to lab standards and protocols
- Expertise in optimizing image quality
- Ability to manage high-volume workflows while maintaining diagnostic quality
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Commitment to a collaborative work culture
- Adherence to ASE (American Society of Echocardiography) and IAC (Intersocietal Accreditation Commission) standards
