This role involves oversight and management of the day-to-day operations within the Clinical Resource Department, focusing on Case Management, Utilization Review, and Social Work. Additionally, there is a secondary emphasis on the Clinical Documentation team. Responsibilities include overseeing discharge planning, utilization management, and care coordination for high-risk patients. The position requires ongoing development and delivery of education and process improvement initiatives for the staff.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Education/Experience/Training:
- Demonstrated competency with a minimum of 3 years acute care experience within the past 5 years in a hospital setting or case management.
- Working knowledge of InterQual or equivalent system.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license.
- Certification in Case Management or Clinical Documentation Integrity preferred.
- Two years experience in process improvement; Minimum 5 years case management experience in an acute setting.
- Experience in developing and presenting professional continuing education programs.
- Knowledge of CMS regulations.
- Excellent computer skills; familiarity with Windows-based software programs.
- Strong organizational, analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Management/supervisory experience preferred.
