Description

Invasive Cardiovascular Technologists are allied health professionals who perform diagnostic examinations at the request or direction of an Interventional Cardiologist during invasive cardiology, noninvasive cardiology, and/or peripheral vascular study procedures. Through subjective data collection and recording, the technologist obtains information from which a correct anatomical and physiological diagnosis may be established for each patient.

Local candidates (please refer to a list of ineligible counties) are currently not being accepted.

A minimum of an Associate Degree or graduation from an approved Cardiovascular Training Program or an accredited Allied Health Program is required. Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) is mandatory.

Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in the cardiovascular specialty. They must also obtain and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Adult Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
