Description

Minimum Experience:
2 years of experience in a Medical-Surgical setting.
1 year of travel experience in a high acuity unit.
Mentor or charge experience is required.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association, required.
Unencumbered Ohio Nursing License.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychological health.
Develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
Monitor patient progress and adjust care as needed.
Perform tasks like wound care and dressing changes.
Ensure patient safety with adherence to infection control protocols.
Provide immediate care during emergencies.
Educate patients and families on managing conditions and post-discharge care.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong clinical knowledge with a focus on patient assessment and care planning.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
Working Conditions:
Med-Surg Registered Nurses work in hospital settings which may include acute and subacute care.
The position involves standing, walking, lifting, and assisting patients with mobility.
There is a potential exposure to infectious diseases, requiring adherence to safety protocols and the use of PPE.
