Description
Invasive Cardiovascular Technologists perform diagnostic examinations at the request or direction of an Interventional Cardiologist during invasive cardiology, noninvasive cardiology, and/or peripheral vascular study procedures. They collect and record subjective data to obtain information that aids in establishing a correct anatomical and physiological diagnosis for each patient.
Requirements:
- Minimum of an Associate Degree or graduation from an approved Cardiovascular Training Program or an accredited Allied Health Program.
- Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required.
- At least 2 years of experience in the cardiovascular specialty.
- Must obtain and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Adult Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
