Description
Position Overview:
This role will provide direct academic and behavioral support to a 5th-grade female student who is high-functioning and verbal but demonstrates significant physical aggression. The student was not successful in a self-contained classroom environment, so we are seeking a confident, experienced educator who can deliver structured instruction and implement strong behavior management strategies within a more individualized setting.
Student Profile & Responsibilities:
Grade Level: 5th grade
Communication: High-functioning and verbal
Primary Focus: Behavioral intervention for aggressive physical behaviors
Academic Support Area: Reading
Additional Support & Expectations:
The SPED Teacher will be supported by a dedicated paraprofessional (PARA).
The district will provide restraint training, if necessary.
This is an on-site only position.
