Telemetry/Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Tele/Med-Surg RN)
Insight Hospital and Medical Center Chicago is seeking a compassionate and skilled Telemetry/Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care for adults with acute medical and cardiac conditions. The Tele/Med-Surg RN is responsible for assessing, monitoring, and treating patients while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to promote safe, effective care and positive patient outcomes.
Schedule: Full-time, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
Responsibilities
• Assess, monitor, and care for patients with medical and telemetry needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, identify changes in patient condition, and communicate findings to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, lifestyle modifications, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Qualifications
• Current Illinois RN license.
• Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing experience.
