Location: Lawrenceville, GA
Department: Laboratory (7000) – Blood Bank
Job Type: 13-Week Travel Contract
Start Date: ASAP
Compensation
Weekly Gross Pay: $2,000/week
Total Pay Rate: $50/hour
W2 Taxable Pay: $18.85/hour
Weekly Non-Taxable Stipend: $1,246/week (for qualified travelers)
Overtime Pay: $55/hour (after 40 hours worked)
Schedule
Shift: 8-Hour Evenings
Hours: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Schedule: Monday–Sunday, with every third weekend rotation
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Travel Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to join the Blood Bank team at Lawrenceville, Georgia.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of recent Blood Bank experience and be comfortable working in a clinical laboratory environment performing accurate specimen testing and analysis.
Responsibilities
Perform laboratory testing and analysis within the Blood Bank department.
Process and analyze patient specimens according to established laboratory procedures.
Ensure accurate identification, testing, and documentation of blood bank specimens.
Follow quality control, safety, and regulatory standards.
Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
Identify and report abnormal or critical findings according to established protocols.
Assist with specimen processing and other clinical laboratory functions as needed.
Collaborate with laboratory staff, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient laboratory environment.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of recent Blood Bank experience – Required
Current certification from one of the following:
ASCP
NCA
AMT
AAB
HHS
Strong clinical laboratory specimen testing and analysis experience
Clinic laboratory experience preferred
Excellent attention to detail and patient safety awareness
Important: The facility will consider Medical Technologists (MT) and Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLS) only. Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) will not be considered.

Travel candidates only (No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility.)

40 guaranteed hours per week

Every third weekend rotation
Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve) if they fall during the assignment.
