Role: Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Location: Springfield, MA 01199
Facility Name: Baystate Medical Center
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM - Nights
Scheduled Hours: 36 hrs/week
Pay Rate: $80/hr
Weekly Pay: $3,804(including stipend) for 48 hours
Stipend: $1,414/week
Local Radius: Must be outside 90 miles
On-Call: No Call

Minimum Experience: 2 years
Holiday Coverage: Required

Requirements
Strong ICU experience required
1 year of Level 1 ICU experience preferred; otherwise 2 years preferred
MICU experience preferred
NIHSS required
BLS required through American Heart Association
ACLS required through American Heart Association
Candidates with only 1 year of experience as a new graduate may be too new for the unit

Unit Details
32-bed Medical ICU with Neuro Critical Care capability
Floats to Medical HVCC, SICU, and IMC
Patient ratios: 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity
Common cases include sepsis, ESRD and AKI requiring CRRT/CVVH, post-cardiac arrest care, and respiratory failure
48-hour contracts accepted
Overtime: After 40 hours/week
Call Back Minimum: 2 hours
Call Back Rate: All-inclusive rate
