Location: Lamar, CO

Pay Details
Pay Rate: $88/hr
Weekly Gross: $3,168/week
Taxable/W2 Rate: $53.38/hr
Weekly Stipend: $1,246/week ($34.61/hr) for qualified travelers
Overtime Rate: $98/hr after 40 hours
Total Compensation: $88/hr (W2 Pay + Stipend)

Shift: Night
Shift Hours: 12-hour shifts
Start Time: 7:00 PM
End Time: 7:00 AM
Schedule: 36 hours per week; may rotate shifts and areas based on staffing and census
On-Call: Required
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Travel Labor & Delivery RN to provide direct patient care to women throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum, as well as provide care to newborns.

The RN will support maternal and newborn care while monitoring labor progression, preparing patients for procedures such as C-sections and inductions, administering medications, providing patient education, and coordinating care and transfers. The role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to work in a high-stress environment.

Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive maternal and newborn assessments.
Monitor the progression of labor and communicate changes in patient condition.
Prepare patients and the delivery room for deliveries, C-sections, and inductions.
Provide nursing care during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
Provide direct newborn care.
Administer IV medications and other treatments within the scope of practice.
Provide patient and family education related to maternal and newborn care.
Provide emotional support to patients and families.
Coordinate patient transfers as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
Follow sterile technique, infection control principles, and OB department policies.
Operate and utilize obstetric equipment appropriately.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
Requirements
Current Colorado RN license — Required
Current CPR certification — Required
Neonatal Resuscitation Certification — Required within one year of employment
ACLS — Required within one year of employment
4 years of Obstetrics experience — Preferred
Knowledge of or interest in labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn nursing care
Knowledge of sterile technique and infection control principles
Strong maternal and newborn care skills
Ability to perform effectively in high-stress situations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
