Pay Details
Pay Rate: $65/hr
Weekly Gross: $2,340/week (All-Inclusive)
Taxable/W2 Rate: $30.38/hr
Weekly Stipend: $1,246/week ($34.61/hr)
Total Compensation: $65/hr (W2 Pay + Stipend)
Overtime Rate: $75/hr after 40 hours

Job Description

We are seeking a Travel Respiratory Therapist (RT) to provide skilled respiratory care to patients in a clinical healthcare setting.

The Respiratory Therapist will assess respiratory status, provide respiratory treatments, manage ventilator settings, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support safe and effective patient care.

Responsibilities
Assess and monitor patients' respiratory status.
Provide respiratory treatments and therapies according to patient needs and clinical protocols.
Establish and adjust patient ventilator settings using appropriate measurements and advanced principles of volume, flow, pressure, and time relationships.
Apply knowledge of acid/base and electrolyte relationships when caring for patients with life-threatening conditions.
Monitor patients receiving mechanical ventilation and communicate changes appropriately.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate and timely respiratory care documentation.
Follow patient safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
Utilize Meditech EMR for clinical documentation.
Requirements
Graduate of an AMA-accredited school for Respiratory Care — Required
New York State Respiratory Therapist License — Required
RRT credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) — Required
BLS certification — Required
ACLS certification — Required
NRP certification — Preferred
PALS certification — Preferred
Strong knowledge of respiratory care principles, including acid/base and electrolyte relationships.
Knowledge of mechanical ventilation and ventilator management.
