Department: Emergency Room (MVHS-Wynn-Emergency Department)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Pay: $70-$75/HR
$2,520 - $2,700/weekly
Shift: 12-Hour Evening Shift (10:30 AM – 11:00 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Job Overview
MVHS is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in Utica, NY. The ideal candidate will have extensive Emergency Room experience, including pediatric patient care, and be comfortable managing high-acuity cases in a fast-paced environment. Travel experience is required.
This Emergency Department treats a diverse patient population ranging from newborns to geriatric patients and handles critical diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care for patients of all ages.
Assess, monitor, and treat patients with acute and critical conditions.
Administer emergency medications and IV therapies.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
Respond effectively to trauma activations and medical emergencies.
Monitor and manage patients requiring vasoactive drips, sedation, and cardiac medications.
Float to appropriate units as required.
Maintain accurate documentation utilizing EPIC EMR.

Minimum 3+ Years of Emergency Department Experience
