RN - Med Surg | Travel | Milwaukee, WI

Assignment Overview

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a Med Surg unit specializing in cardiac care, including CHF and dysrhythmias, at a Level III Trauma Center in Milwaukee, WI. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of experience, be comfortable with cardiac telemetry, and proficient in cardiac drips and wound care.

Responsibilities

Administer cardiac medications such as Primacor, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, heparin, lasix, and insulin drips
Perform wound care and manage chest tubes and tracheostomies
Conduct telemetry reading and monitor patient vitals
Collaborate with charge nurse and hospitalists for optimal patient care
Document pain levels accurately before and one hour post administration of pain medications
Float to appropriate MS patient assignments and ED holding as needed

Qualifications

Required:

Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Experience with cardiac drips and telemetry reading
Proficiency in wound care
