Registered Nurse - MedSurg/Tele | Assignment Type | Location
Assignment Overview
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a specialization in MedSurg/Tele for a dynamic role in an acute care setting. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in Med/Tele nursing and possess strong clinical assessment and nursing skills suitable for a Level 1 Trauma Hospital.
Assignment Details
- Shift Details: 12-hour shifts, 7A-7P or 7P-7A
- Weekend Rotation: 5-6 weekend shifts out of 12 in a 6-week schedule
- Holiday Expectations: Must work one shift per major holiday as specified
- Float: All adult MedSurg/Telemetry units in-house
- EMR: EPIC
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2025 (negotiable)
Responsibilities
- Provide care and management for patients with acute and chronic conditions
- Perform clinical assessments and develop care coordination plans
- Monitor cardiac and telemetry readings
- Execute wound care and post-operative monitoring
- Facilitate discharge planning and patient education, focusing on renal and fluid management
Qualifications
Required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Tele RN experience
- Skills in trach care, chest tube management, and IV insertion and care
- Competency in cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
Preferred:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- National Medical-Surgical certification
