Assignment Overview

We are seeking an experienced ER RN to work in an Emergency Department setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center and will be assigned to float to the Emergency Department at our Freeport, IL hospital location.

Assignment Details

• Shift: Evening / Night Shift (12-hour shifts)
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2484 (negotiable)

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to care for patients
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques and policies
• Document patient care according to standards
• Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
• Develop and execute patient plans of care as prescribed by the physician
• Participate in department performance improvement activities
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units in support of the patient’s plan of care
• Utilize critical thinking concerning patient safety and escalate concerns as needed
• Participate in the professional nursing continuum process and peer review

Qualifications

Required:

• Active IL RN Licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required
