Assignment Overview

Seeking an experienced RN for the Neuro MedSurg Acute unit. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in neurological care, including experience with stroke, spine surgery, and related conditions. This role includes managing high acuity patients and utilizing advanced skills in a dynamic acute care setting.

Assignment Details

Facility Type: Acute
Shift Details: 12hr Nights
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Every other
Floating Requirements: Rotational floating within the unit; outside floating for competent skills only
Charting System: EPIC
Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)

Responsibilities

Titrate heparin drips based on PTT
Collaborate with charge nurse and house supervisor
Work with nurse aids/patient care techs as per unit ratios
Operate within unit's staffing and patient care protocols

Qualifications

Required:

Active IL license or application in progress
BLS, NIHSS certifications
Level 1 trauma experience
Experience in a dedicated neuro unit
Previous travel experience
Heparin titration experience
