Assignment Overview
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Ideal candidates will have significant experience with heart failure, chest pain, r/o stroke, and general medical conditions such as sepsis and renal failure. You will be part of a resource team, providing care to patients needing close observation and advanced care.

- Floating: Required within region and scope of practice
- Orientation: NEO and 2 days departmental
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- No call
- Holiday Expectations: Work 75% of holidays
- Scrub Color: Navy

Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients with heart failure, chest pain, and stroke symptoms
- Manage general medical conditions like sepsis and renal failure
- Administer titratable drips and manage medication gtt including cardiac drips, heparin, insulin, and blood products
Qualifications
Required:
- 18 months PCU experience
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Proficient in general PCU skills including stroke experience and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Experience with trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, and drain/tube management
- Ability in PCA pumps and medication gtt management
Preferred:
- Will consider first-time travelers
