Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgical Acute | Travel | Illinois

Assignment Overview

Join our Surgical Acute team as a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to post-operative and trauma patients in an acute care setting. This role requires strong critical thinking skills, teamwork, and a good bedside manner. Ideal candidates will have experience in post-op care and managing medical overflow cases.

Assignment Details

Start Date: August 4, 2025
Facility Type: Acute Care
Shift Details: 12-hour nights (7:30 PM - 7:30 AM), every other weekend and holiday required
Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
Charting System: EPIC
Number of Openings: Multiple
Local Candidate Policy: Reduced rate for candidates within 50 miles

Responsibilities

Provide post-operative care and manage medical overflow
Perform dressing changes, wound care, and IV therapy
Manage pain, drains, NGs, central lines, and TPN
Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and patient care techs
Assist with CPAP and high flow equipment management
Float to similar units as needed

Qualifications

Required:

Active IL license or initiation of application process
BLS Certification (AHA)
Experience in post-op patient care
Critical thinking skills
