RN (Registered Nurse) | Travel | RN-Medsurg | IL

Assignment Overview

Join the Acute Care MedSurg unit as a Registered Nurse. This role requires managing patient care with general medical diagnoses in an 18-bed facility, focusing on high acuity patient management. Ideal candidates will have strong clinical skills and relevant certifications.

Assignment Details

Facility Type: Acute Care
Shift Details: 12-hour shifts (7p-7a), every other weekend, holiday rotation per policy
Assignment Length: Not provided
Estimated Gross Weekly Pay Package: $2565 (negotiable)
Charting System: EPIC

Responsibilities

Administer Heparin drips and other medications as required
Provide primary nursing care with a patient ratio of 5-6:1 on night shifts
Collaborate with unit leadership for scheduling and patient management
Float to other units as needed
Attempt IV starts; coordinate with phlebotomy and pharmacy for support

Qualifications

Required:

Active IL RN license or confirmation of application initiation
BLS certification
Experience with titratable drips, particularly Heparin
Understanding of drug-free campus policies and negative drug screen requirements

Preferred:

1 year or more of hospital experience
ACLS certification for Charge RN position
