RN (Registered Nurse) | Travel | Neuro MedSurg Acute |
Assignment Overview
Join our Neuro MedSurg Acute team as a travel Registered Nurse. This role involves providing comprehensive care to patients with neurological conditions such as stroke, spine surgery, and brain injuries. The ideal candidate will have Level 1 trauma experience and prior neuro unit experience.
Assignment Details
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
- Location:
- Shift: 12-hour days
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Every other
- Charting System: EPIC
- Number of beds: 54 (includes 2 semi-private rooms)
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: Day 1:4-5, Night 1:5-6
- Charge Nurse and House Supervisor available 24/7
- Floating: General unit traveler floats and is supported by trained nurses for specific units
Responsibilities
- Titrate Heparin drips based on PTT
- Provide care to stable COVID patients requiring high flow
- Collaborate with charge nurse and nurse aides for patient care
- Adhere to specific unit protocols and procedures
Qualifications
Required:
- Active IL license or confirmation of application process
- Must have Level 1 trauma experience
- Must have previous travel experience
- Experience with Heparin gtt
- Valid BLS and NIHSS certifications
Preferred:
- Prior experience working on a dedicated neuro unit
