Registered Nurse (RN) | Travel | Illinois
Assignment Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in an Acute Care unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a variety of medical diagnoses, including but not limited to GI bleeds, sepsis, and COVID. This role is best suited for an RN comfortable with titrating Heparin drips and working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.

- Shift Details: 12-hour shifts (7p-7a), rotating every other weekend and holidays
- Assignment Length: Not provided
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
- Charting System: EPIC

- Local Candidate Policy: Local rate applies within 50 miles
Responsibilities
- Manage a patient load with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5-6:1 at night
- Administer and titrate Heparin drips
- Perform patient assessments and document in the EPIC charting system
- Collaborate with a 24-hour charge nurse and crisis RN coverage
- Float to other med/surg like units as needed
- Provide patient care in accordance with nursing protocols and standards
Qualifications
Required:
- Active IL RN License
- BLS Certification
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Ability to work nights (12-hour shifts)
Preferred:
- Experience with GI bleeds, sepsis, and COVID patient care
