RN - MedSurg/Tele | Location: Macon, GA
Assignment Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the MedSurg/Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of Med/Tele RN experience and be comfortable handling a variety of patient cases, including those with acute or chronic diseases. This role requires strong assessment and time management skills, and the ability to coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team.

- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2250 (negotiable)
- Accepts first-time travelers: Yes
- Floating: Required to float to all Med/Tele units and occasionally to ED for holds
- Charting System: EPIC (6 months experience required)
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for inpatient MedSurg/Telemetry patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
- Manage chest tubes, Trach care, and PIV starts and maintenance
- Maintain care coordination and patient education
- Administer and titrate IV drips: insulin, heparin, Cardizem, amiodarone, milrinone, Digoxin, nicardipine
- Coordinate with discharge nurses and resource teams as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- Current BLS certification
- Tele skills including cardiac monitoring
- Strong assessment, time management, and care coordination skills
- Experience in Epic EMR (6 months required)
Preferred:
- ACLS certification (required to pass an EKG competency exam during onboarding)
- Certification in med-surg
