Assignment Overview
Join our team as a MedSurg/Tele RN, where you'll provide care to patients with acute or chronic diseases, post-operative patients, and those with comorbidities in a collaborative, Level 1 Trauma environment. Ideal candidates have a minimum of 2 years of Med/Tele RN experience.
Assignment Details
- Shift: 5x8 Days
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2100 (negotiable)
- Technology/Equipment: EPIC EMR, Alaris IV Pumps, Pyxis Med Dispensing, Phillips Monitors
- Floating to all adult med surg/telemetry units in house
- 1 day orientation and 2 days departmental training included
- Support: 24/7 RT, Hospitalist, Intensivist, Central Telemetry Unit
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for med-surg patients
- Conduct clinical assessments and cardiac monitoring
- Manage IV insertions and care, and central line management
- Coordinate patient care plans with interdisciplinary teams
- Plan discharges and conduct patient education
Qualifications
Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
- BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm) with EKG competency
- Strong clinical assessment and med-surg skills
- Trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts
Preferred:
- ACLS Certification
- National Medical-Surgical Certification
