Assignment Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for the Surgical Acute unit. The ideal candidate will excel in post-operative care and possess strong critical thinking skills. This role involves working in an acute care setting, providing care for a variety of post-op surgical and trauma patients.
Assignment Details
- Start Date: Not provided
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (07:00-19:30)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Rotate every other holiday
- Floating: Required to float to units with similar levels of experience
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
- Charting System: EPIC
Responsibilities
- Provide post-op care to surgical and trauma patients
- Conduct dressing changes and wound care
- Administer IV therapy and manage central lines
- Assist with pain management and use critical thinking skills
- Work collaboratively with team members
Qualifications
Required:
- Active IL license or application in process
- Confirmation of drug-free status
- BLS Certification
- Experience in post-op patient care
Preferred:
- Good bedside manner and teamwork skills
