Assignment Overview

Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg unit in an acute care setting. Ideal candidates will have strong teamwork skills and communication abilities to collaborate effectively with Patient Care Technicians. Experience with medical acute conditions such as pneumonia, heart failure, and more is beneficial.

Assignment Details

Start Date: Not provided
Shift: 12-hour nights
Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2538 (negotiable)
Number of Beds: 48
Nurse:Patient Ratios: Days: 1:5, Nights: 1:6- usually start at 1:5
Charge Nurse and Admin Supervisor present
Patient Care Technicians available with 1:8-10 ratio
EPIC charting system

Responsibilities

Monitor tele strips
Collaborate with PCT for patient care such as foley care, CHG bathing, and oral cares
Ensure planned care is executed and communicated effectively

Qualifications

Required:

Active IL license or confirmation of application process initiation
Negative drug screen for all panels
BLS and ACLS certifications

Preferred:

At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
Previous travel experience
PALS certification
