Assignment Overview
Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the MedSurg/Telemetry unit. This role involves providing comprehensive care to patients with acute and chronic conditions, including heart failure, respiratory issues, and post-op care. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of Med/Tele RN experience and be comfortable in a high-acuity teaching hospital setting.
Assignment Details
- Beds in Unit: 30
- Patient Ratio: RN 1:4-6, LPN 1:4-6, CNA 2-3 per shift
- EMR System: EPIC
- Shift Details: 12-hour shifts, 7A-7P or 7P-7A
- Weekend Rotation: 5-6 weekends shifts per 6-week schedule
- Holiday Expectations: Work one shift of each major holiday
- Estimated Gross Weekly Pay Package: $2250 (negotiable)
Responsibilities
- Manage care for patients with conditions such as heart failure, A-Fib, COPD, and diabetes
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
- Conduct discharge planning and provide patient education
- Perform clinical tasks including IV insertion, wound care, and telemetry interpretation
Qualifications
Required:
- 2 years Med/Tele RN experience
- BLS certification
- Strong clinical assessment and med-surg nursing skills
Preferred:
- ACLS certification
- National certification in Medical-Surgical nursing
