Registered Nurse (RN) - Neuro ICU | Travel | IL
Assignment Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Neuro ICU team. The role requires monitoring high-acuity patients, managing advanced life support, and providing specialized care for conditions such as strokes and post-craniectomy recovery. The ideal candidate will have experience in an acute care setting and proficiency with neuro intensive care protocols.

- Shift: 12hr Days, every other weekend, rotating every other holiday
- Assignment Length: Not specified
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2700 (negotiable)
- Charting System: EPIC
- Number of Beds: 18
- Nurse: Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
- Floating Requirements: Travelers float first to all units within the hospital
Responsibilities
- Manage and titrate medication drips as ordered by physicians
- Operate and troubleshoot RT equipment including vents, Cpap, and Bipap
- Interpret telemetry and monitor strips
- Collaborate with the charge nurse and house supervisor
- Provide patient care assistance in the Neuro ICU and other units as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- Active IL license or initiation of application process
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience with ventriculostomy, the NIH Stroke Scale Certification, ventilators, arterial and central lines, tPA, and acute stroke management
- Ability to titrate medication drips
