Assignment Overview

Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Med Surg to provide patient care in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and an active IL license. Candidates must be prepared to work every other weekend and occasionally during holidays as per the schedule.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care for common diagnoses such as COPD, Sepsis, CVA, COVID, Pneumonia, and surgical procedures
Monitor patients requiring telemetry in coordination with central monitor tech
Float to other units if competent, taking full patient assignments
Participate in a 2-day departmental orientation and 1-day hospital/EMR orientation

Qualifications

Required:

Active IL license or confirmation that the application process is initiated
BLS (AHA) Certification
Understanding of the drug-free workplace policy with the ability to produce a negative drug screen
